Moving my large dark stained oak office desk across two states had left an ugly scar on the front top edge of a once beautiful desk. I was horrified to see a gouge of raw wood, "chewed" out by an unnoticed metal hinge from another piece of furniture! The location and roughness of the flaw was so noticeable that no one could ignore what was in plain sight!

When I got the desk moved into my new office, I knew something had to be done about the ugly scar. I found the Total Furniture Repair System on my Amazon search list and it looked like a lot of "bang for the buck", so I gave it a try... and I'm glad I did. First I took one of the filler sticks and smoothed the gouge the best I could. Since the gouge was at least a quarter inch deep, I knew that filling it would be impossible... but the gouge needed to at least feel smooth to the touch. After the smoothing process, I took a marker and colored the area. It was like magic! People who had seen the gouge were impressed and people who had not seen it have NOT noticed it since!
